German? 1 1/2 inch marble.. Think I finally have a good one
Well I was going thru a box lot of gems stones I bought about a year ago at auction an found this marble in there I forgot I had... Hopefully this is a RARE one...I'm thinking it's a German hand blown onionskin, but since I don't know much about marbles I will wait til the more expereinced tell me. I will need... the maker, if it's pontil (i'm fairly sure this one is) looks to have iron or some other material that is gray in color where the scar? is ...would like approx value also if that is possible...

yup thats a nice un!!!...not hand blown but made from a cane...a hand made german onionskin ...condition is everything in marbles...even the tiniest damage can effect the price....at 1-1/2 in ch that one could be worth a pretty penny but the economy has hurt marble prices....you could take it to a marble show in your area or find an appraiser of marbles in your area......your marble should bring over 100$ easy if its clean and damage free....great find!!!

The common 4 panel would be 2 reds and 2 blues. This one has a teal so makes it a bit better.
