hello all, im not a marble expert by any means, but i found a white colored marble in the backyard of my moms house, and she said she remembered her little brother playing w/ marbles in the 60's in that location. i cant get a good pic that would capture the design, but in the pic it all looks white. however that is incorrect, because from what i understand that means it is from a board game or something. this marble instead has a white color to it, its not clear glass like other marbles, solid white, except for small streaks of clear graying or an off white color...my moms doesnt know when her little bro got them, because they might have been boughten for my moms mom (my grandma) when she was small, and she passed them down to my mom and her brothers and sisters, or they could have been boughten in the 60's for my moms brother in the 1st place....thanks in advance for any help you can provide
it has the traits of a vitro tiger eye all tho i cant say ive seen that color combo before....prob a vitro game marble...can you get light to shine thru it

no, it is completely colored white thru and thru, and light will not shine thru it...is that a good thing?
not really...the clear version of the vitro tiger eye was made at the vienna wv location...when they moved to parkersburg in the 50s they used a vaneer method of makin marbles ...the opaque marbles are post late 50s....
