hi everyone..here's just a few marbles i've found metal detecting..any ideas??

i no zip about marbles exept i like finding and looking for them. these are a few i've found over the years. any ideas about them? are they common or not? the one by itself is shaped like a football with a nipple on the end...maybe burned or something..thanks for any ideas guys,David

Hey, just some advice I have gathered from reading the marble forum. Cull out the cat eyes, then take good clear pics of smaller groups, like maybe 10-12 at a time. It takes a few days but usually duffytrash or someone will be along and help you out. Check out my post on here from a week ago or so. He took the time to ID all of the ones that I posted. Its cool to find out about the marbles that you have gathered over the years, even though 99% of the time they aren't worth much. As duffytrash always says, condition is everything.

I see some vitros, alley swirls, marble kings and some west virginia swirls. None of them really pop out as being worth a lot. I'd say the bunch might bring $20-$30 at the most. Nice collection! Value might not be high, but they are nice to look at and that's what counts.

Post them 2-4 at a time with a pics of at least two views of each, and it will be easier to identify them. Do a few sets, let them get ID'ed, then a few more until done (if you want to try to ID them all). A few of them are really nice looking. If you want to study and learn marble types, Joesmarbles.com and Allaboutmarbles.com are very helpful.

yeah fella. i'm trying to learn as much as i can, cause i have more than that i've found. i've looked and read a few places. marblesgalore shows the marble pics,type,pattern, and price. i've been looking at that page quite a bit. i'll do what you said cheese and get a couple pics of each at the time later today. i appreciate the help, because this is about the the only place i get help back...lol
