Here are the marbles i have found while detecting. I don't know anything about them but i love finding them.

Are the hand made clay ones from that time also? One is porcelain (not hand made). What about the dark brown hand mades? They look and feel like rough stone. A small county museum has some just like it and says they are very old Indian game pieces, but i don't think so.

Yeah, I think the clay ones and the glazed one (called a bennington) are from around 1890 to 1930/40. I don't see anything stone, just clay/pottery. The dark brown ones look like rusty iron... probably ball bearings. Nothing indian related though.

Thanks for the info. The dark brown one are definitely some sort of dirt product. Not metal. They are light, not magnetic. It kinda hard to explain what they look like. When oh look close at them you can see what i mean. I will try to take a macro pic of it.
