Do you think shipping marbles in a bubble envelope would be good enough if they were secured well inside so they didn't rub or bang against each other? Or would it be better to ship them in a parcel?
If it's just a handful, then a padded envelope would be fine if you can keep them from banging or rubbing. One common way to accomplish that is to put each marble in a tiny ziplock bag. They make them just the right size to hold a marble.
you can also take a piece of wide shipping tape and set the marbles on top of it and fold the tape up so none of them move and put them in a bubble wrap shipping bag. this way they don't move and wont touch each other so they wont chip in transit. The sticky from the tape is also easily removed with alcohol.

Hmm, thanks for the ideas. I've decided to use a combination. I'm going to "roll" the marbles in saran wrap, place in a ziploc bag and then put them into the bubble mailer. This way they will stay flat and won't rub or bang against each other.
