I am still very new to this hobby myself so I can't be much help in terms of ID/value; but there is one that I personally would be interested in seeing a better pic of. It is the blue/green one, looks like a clear base(?). In first pic it is to the right of the purple/white swirl and in 2nd pic it is under the same purple/white swirl.

You picked out the one uncommon in the bunch Moxie :D . That one might be worth taking some pictures of separately. Just below center in the second picture. The others are late 1940s up to 1960s or so.

My "work" here is done?! LOL! I love Finding Waldo books. I see some Marble King Bumble Bees and also (I think) a Vitro Tiger Eye trying to poke its head out - 2nd pic, 3rd row down with a green bottom and purple/yellow ribbon. I just love everything marbles. Please thank your co-worker for sharing. (Got any more? - I'm greedy.)

That's a good one! I love akro snakes but a two color one is not that easy to come across. I have marbles in the tens of thousands but don't have a 2 color Akro snake. I never actively sought one and haven't accidentally acquired one either somehow.

Hey Joe, aren't you the guy with the peltier rootbeer bananas?

K. Honey amber or root beer? This is a serious hobby and no one names the same marble the same thing? Gonna go have a Pelt Poison Bee and a vitro lilac. Oh and a Cairo Red Lightining or Red...and have an ...never mind. Can't you all come to some same name?

Actually I discovered them, I named them and they don't look anything like a rootbeer, the honey amber is crystal clear and actually colors the pure white banana yellow. See Marble connection.com for photos and discussion on these beautiful marbles.

Or search Honey Amber Bananas for further information, it's out there.....Joe McDonough

Yeah, I knew it was something like that, couldn't remember for sure. I need one of those if you ever let another one go!

Good luck Cheese, I have sold a few and gave a few away to people, Stan Block, Cathy Runyon(marble lady), Marlowe Peterson and others. What is left goes to my four grandchildren along with the photos of the original discovery and the original flyers. I will never sell another one.....Joe McDonough

I looked these up as per your suggestion. First thing that popped up was the rootbeer...go figure. Dug further; they certainly are a different animal. Saw one for sale a few yrs ago, but that was it. (Wonder what it sold for.) I would think it pretty amazing to first have that scarce of a marble; and second to have named it. Your grandchildren are lucky! Cheese not so much - he may try to pass himself off as one your grandchildren...so watch out!!

Lol, yeah grampa, put me in the will!

For your sake Cheese, I hope he has an extra witness or two for that "sound mind" issue because I can almost guarantee if they read a will that bequeaths "one honey amber banana to Cheese"; eyebrows will be raised.:tongue3:

found a two color snake once in a bowl of marbles at an antique store, thought it was a Popeye but it didn't have any white except for one strand. When I got it home and cleaned it up you could see it was in yellow glass. Had some hard times and sold it for a hundred bucks to a collector.
