Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me out. I found the red one at the beach in Port Gamble Wa. I found the black one at a junkyard in Kingston Wa. I'd like to find out how old they are if possible, also I am wondering if the black one is a marble or a game piece or a really cool round rock. Any help would be appreciated. Nice finds! The red/brown one is called a "Bennington". They are glazed pottery. The dark "eyes" are marks where other marbles were piled in next to it while it was wet with glaze and fired in the kiln. Most every collection has a few but they are fairly common so value is low. They are quite old though. I can't tell what the black one is, I think maybe a stone, not sure.
