I've got several old marbles and I know they can be quite collectable. Aside from the obvious, like big marbles, clay, or ones with things inside them, I don't know what sorts of things make a marble desirable or valuable.

I have one or two that have flat spots, not from damage but I think just from being sat down while still hot.

Here are a few of the ones I've dug, and a few cat's eye pieces from another can of old marbles that were around before me.

Hello Icewing,

You have some older marbles there from around the 1940s or so, newer for the cats. They are all common ones as far as I can tell in that picture.
