Hello Cheese. I hope you have been doing well.

I searched the water eroded areas around some old housing today. I found nine marbles.

One is a big mill marble, and several looked new to me.

Here are the four that I thought, looked good. Any information would be most appreciated.

Thanks and good luck.

Howdy Tom, been doing great :D Hope the same for you.
Fun finds! The 2 tone blue one is a Peltier Peerless Patch.

The Yellow, blue, and lavender one is a good marble worth a little if it was in good condition, it's a Vitro Easter Egg.

The big wrinkly clear one is an industrial marble, often called railroad marbles. They were mass produced with pretty much no regard to quality because they were just a form for glass to be shipped in. The factory would make millions of these and fill railroad cars with them for transport to places where it would be turned into something else like fiberglass or whatever the case may be.

The aqua swirl is a West Virginia swirl of some sort, I think maybe from Alox.

The rest are cateyes.

Looks like a mix from the late 30s or early 40s up to the 80s or so. Keep hunting!

Thanks for your help Cheese. Your assistance is always most appreciated.

I will check the erosion gullies for more marbles. The old houses have no gutters, so they have little gullies around them, full of trash and a little bit of anything imaginable. I snapped one in situ picture.

Until next time, good luck to you sir.
