That's a machine made marble with a deformity usually called a cold roll. Probably an Alley Agate from the 1940s by the looks of it.

Tommy, Thanks, i think your first marble find is rite around the corner! Cheese, does that deformity show up often? Thanks for the ID, I always thought a "cold roll' was when you got mugged and they took your coat!

It's not extremely common to find them that bad, most times when they were having troubles like that at the factory, that portion of the run got dumped. Lots like this have been dug at the factory sites where they were dumped.
