Howdy folks! Went out for about 2 hours today at my homesite at an apple orchard and here's what I've got... the thing I'm not sure about is the marble, it looks more like something from the 1960s than early 1800s. The colorful things all around it feel like sprinkles you see on top of a cupcake and they seem to have just been rolled onto the glass if you know what I mean. I also found a Tombac button as well as two brass ones. Thanks! HH. Also, I had initially forgotten we had a marbles forum so I posted a duplicate of this thread here: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/639121-odd-marble-early-mid-1800s-site.html

Correct, it's a imported modern marble called a confetti. The sprinkles are called "frit". It rolled through those as the white glass marble was still molten liquid.
