Homemade no bolts stabilizer for 1976-77 Garrett fortune hunter
I got tired of my coil getting moved every time I set my detector down. My detector is too old and any movement of the coil causes it to start going off and I am constantly retuning the metal/null knob to compensate. So I decided I needed a stabilizer. Then I realized I did not have any scrap plexiglass around or plastic bolts to affix it. So I devised a better stabilizer that takes no bolts. I was going to use my girlfriends oil painting pallet as it was the only thick plastic I could find, but then I found a plastic fish tank divider that was 2.5"x3.5" I snapped it in half and superglued it together. I still have to clean it up with the dremel but I think this is going to work just swell.
---STILL IN PROGRESS---

EDIT:
Here it is finished

And here it is attatched- It just fits the end of the shaft perfect enough and sits flat to the coil at the correct angle for me.
