Spectra V3 new user background noise

Looking for a little help. Is it normal to have a background humm after a ground balance. This was my first trip out with my detector and this is my first detector I have owned. Not sure if this is normal. Can any one help? Could I be doing something wrong on my ground balance mulltiple attempts gave me the same results. I was succesful and found some coins and a mens gold wedding band. Thanks Smoloney
