    WATER SCOOPS AND COILS

I had noticed on one of the detecting site about placing a hair brush in the bottom of your scoop so as small gold chains will stick on it. Also I would like to paint the coil on my water detector a brite colour to see it in cloudy water is there a paint that might stick to the coil.
    THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

If you paint your coil spray some paint on cardboard first and make sure its not metal based.

Plasti-dip comes in a bright yellow, it is a spray on rubber coating, no metal, it will protect the coil, yet it can be peeled off if coil needs to be sent in for repair... I use it for water proofing the coil splices I do....
