I was probably one of those guys you saw at the beach on the 5th. I was there early and had a similar experience. The Cataldo area sounds pretty good. Never have tried there. We will have to get togather some time. Im out of town a lot so, not sure when. Seems like I see more people with detectors each year. Glad you got in touch....... Mike

I'm in CDA and looking to find some people to hunt with. I'm just getting started and bought an X Terra 705. My first hunt was after the 4th on CDA beach. I got up early and was there by 5:30am and I was surprised to see 8 others MD there that early. Or maybe I was hoping it was only my good idea? lol I found $1.75 and found numerous deep targets, but I was unable to get them since I didn't have the right tools with me.

I was thinking about searching the outskirts of the Cataldo mission property to see what I can find as far as relics or silver coins. Have you been out that direction? I would assume the traders and indians had to of drop something out there.
