  • Hi there... I'm nearby, in New Fairfield. Sure, I'd love to get together some time. This coming weekend is kind of busy for me (stuff with the kids - I have a 14 year old son and a 12 year old daughter) but the following weekend might be good. Sundays are usually free for me. I'm still pretty much a noob, myself. I've be detecting 2 years now and just found my first silver coin 2 weeks ago. Aside from that, all I have to show for it is half a mason jar of clad coins, a few wheaties and a few trinkets. I haven't yet found a great spot for detecting. My dream would be to find some cellar holes or farmland that might have some colonial coins like some of the lucky guy here seem to find regularly, but even a mercury dime would be a thrill.

Thanks for the note! Let me know what you're interests are and if you have any ideas of places to try. I'm sure we can come up with something.

We found half of a copper penny.i could use some pointers or maybe team up once or twice. Do you know any other locals or a local group? Thanks.
