anyone know if a bluemax 350 coil will work on a 4900d ? the info i have read states it will work on a 5000 , ive been told that my 4900 is the same as a 5000 or 6000, i just would like to know if anyone has ever used one on a 4900 before i get it and mess something up .

newbe here , i have just started detecting with an old whites 4900 d/ i picked it up for $150 its in mint condition, my question is ,as im still learning is how does this machine stack up against say a 6000DI Pro with a meter? is there really much difference and does a meter help all that much ?
