Gottcha! I didn't know that gold was ever found in the White river. I know several creeks in Morgan county have had gold found in them. I actually own 3 acres in Morgan county with about 400 feet of a creekbed that runs through it. I actually bought a pan and was going to check it out but I never have. Good luck!
Actually it was a lot of fun. There used to me an amusement park in BR park in the 1910-20 time period.There used to be a lot of buildings on that stretch of the White river. Tons of iron an old nails. Loved using the AT Pro because of all the iron. Compared to what some people find I can't say I found a lot. However, I was happy. 3 barber dimes (1903-1915) 2 V nickels, 3 buffalo nickels, silver quarter, several wheats and my favorite and oldest coin-1868 shield nickel. I also found a small gold pin, 40 plus hand stamped tags of various sizes. Found with older locker keys that date to the 1920-1930s and several misc items. Alslo found a nice indian point in the water. How about you-any luck?
