  • Hey Brian. Very cool that you're also in the deck business. That is one way I find new sites to metal detect. If a client lives in a older home, I'll wait until the project is nearly complete (and they are happy) before I ask permission. The problem is that most homes around here are pretty new. In Chevy Chase I was working at an older home several years back, got permission, and found a Barber coin spill. At another CC home I found a civil war bullet. Now I'm trying to find sites a new way, from old maps. Thats the method I used to find the colonial stuff I recently posted, all found in a yard near my house. Unfortunately, that site is pretty now hunted out and I'm going to have to find another place to get my md "fix", Ha!
Sorry it took so long to process the Friend Request. I thought it had already been done, but I had checked off the wrong box by mistake. Would love to go out on a hunt some day. You live in a beautiful part of the state.
You've got to tell me why your name is "Deckguy"--are you in the deck business? That is the business I am in! Our company is called LandWorks. (Land Works, Inc.). We work in Montgomery and Howard counties. Its easy to tell when our business is slow, because that's when I get to metal detecting and post the finds!
