Hey Brian. Very cool that you're also in the deck business. That is one way I find new sites to metal detect. If a client lives in a older home, I'll wait until the project is nearly complete (and they are happy) before I ask permission. The problem is that most homes around here are pretty new. In Chevy Chase I was working at an older home several years back, got permission, and found a Barber coin spill. At another CC home I found a civil war bullet. Now I'm trying to find sites a new way, from old maps. Thats the method I used to find the colonial stuff I recently posted, all found in a yard near my house. Unfortunately, that site is pretty now hunted out and I'm going to have to find another place to get my md "fix", Ha!
