Started detecting around 1980 in the Williston N.Dak. Actually was a Dealer Selling Teknetics, White,Tesoro, & Fisher . At the time my first preference was the Teknetics 9000, which was I believe was the first LCD Detector and I found a ton of stuff with it, also used the Fisher 1260 which I also liked a lot. Got out of detecting in the early 90's and got into Walleye fishing and just didn't have the time to do both. Also flew UltraLight Airplanes which was handy to fly over or land on a site we planned to hunt. OK, so I haven't done metal detecting in a few years put thought of it often and how I enjoyed it so am thinking real serious about getting back into it. My detector of choice will probably be the Minelab CTX 3030 first choice with the E-Trax as second. Am living now in the Fargo N.Dak aera.
