thanks, I am excited to try new places and to get a hold of some historical maps. My children live in Moscow, so I travel there quite often I've been looking at city codes for all the places I travel through but little is published on MDing guess I just need to ask the questions on my way through. Thanks again and I ill keep you posted!
Brotha I am proud to hear your compliments. Thank you. It isn't done yet but The hose kit for the pump will be here this Friday and my new gold panning kit too. I am hoping to get out there on spring break for the kids and do a little test panning so I can figure out where to set up the Highbanker when the weather gets better. I just started a new thread for the new rock hammer I got in the mail today in the sluicing forum. Where are you from the J-spinner?
Well I am glad you found me! Hi there. what parts are ya from? Im green to the prospecting and I am in the process of building me a new highbanker.. Look over those videos and tell em what you think. You can see all of them here Gold sluicebox progression - YouTube
    Hello JSpinner,

It does seem Idahoan's are hard to find on this board. Yes I love to fish and play in the mtns. I detect as often as I can and just getting into prospecting. Where are you located?
hi...oh i'm from ohio not idaho hehe. one of the hotspots around those old ranches is by what might have been a bedroom window old barns i have found some artifacts old bottles and a very old childs bracelet as for gold we do have placer deposites i haven't found any here to date but i have a really good place i wanna try i have the makings for a 3" suction dredge being a gpaa member i can get onto some private property. the best tip i can give you though if your looking for gold is to join gpaa they have a book that give lost treasures by state and areas where to find they just updated it last year so info should be good, its not to expensive to join they have a package it includes hat nice gold pan snuffer bottle and book and the best part is you can visit their claims some areas have different conditions and some have restrictions. the only affilation i have with them is that i'm a member so decide for yourself but i do like it...happy hunting soon as weather breaks :D
Hey there, fellow Idahoan. Where are you located? I could use some tips myself. Most of my detecting revolves around prospecting, but I also do a little coin shooting, but only at historic places (old ranches, homesteads, mines, etc.) I'm not much for the typical city park hunts, or tot lots, etc....LOL
    Jim
