Huge history buff and I've always wanted a detector. Bought one last year and have just been messing around with it. I just joined the Champlain Valley Metal Detector Club, and I'm hoping to learn more from the pros. My problem is that I'm not from this area, so I don't hardly know anybody. I have been doing a lot of research of the Battle of Plattsburgh and would love to hunt in some of the camp areas. I live just down the street from the British main encampment and the Tom Miller house and would love to search the back of that property.
