  • Hello,

My name i Brian Hurst. My partner and I are working to leach gold from water. My partner Jerry is the technical side of the equation so my explanation of what were doing is strictly a layman's view. We have what he call's a hydrogen tower. 6" PVC mounted vertically and each one shorter than the preceding. Hydrogen is bubbled into the column's and extracted at the top and reused at the bottom of the next tube. At the end of the process you get a solution that is gray/black in color. He has been working with Iodine as a leach and can't seem to make it work. The reason for failure could be technique or no gold present to start with. I am looking for a technique that has the widest range of input material it can work with; as there is no one size fits all in chemistry. This way I can make a better determination if we are chasing rabbits. If you have an established method that might help us I would appreciated discussing it further.
