I had an opportunity to read Davids Guestbook and cried over the wonderful things that were written about him.
Nebstater, Tnet sympathizes over the loss of your son and metal detecting partner and offers our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Letter from Larry
David James Brokofsky was born on 8-22-1975, and passed away from complications from brain tumor sugery on 9-13-08. He and I had been active MDer's for several years, and he was the one that interduced me to Tnet. We enjoyed many hours afield, along with the one-upsmanship. Although his condition was always in the back of his mind, he lived life to the fullest, and always seemed to be in a good mood. His mother and I will miss him very much.

David James Brokofsky, age 33, of Lincoln, died Saturday,
September 13, 2008 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 22, 1975.
Graduate of Pius X High School.
Graduate Bellevue University.
Former employee BryanLGH Medical Center East.
Member & past officer of Prairie Astronomy Club.
Survivors include:
Parents Linda & Larry Brokofsky of Lincoln
Sister & Brother-in-law Teri & Gene Gray of Lincoln
Nephews Michael & Brandon Gray of Lincoln
Nieces Natalie & Malissa Gray of Lincoln
Grandparents Pearl & Melvin Brokofsky of Grand Island, NE
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by Grandparents James W. & Virginia Casteel.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child.
May the Lord hold you all in the palm of His hand.
When you get into a tight place and everything goes against
you till it seems you could not hold on a minute longer,

I would like to thank all who have responded to this post. We appreciate your kind words and thoughts very much. It is just very hard to properly express our feelings on the loss of our son. Again, we thank you one and all.

Larry, my condolances. How tragic to loose a son who;s in the prime of life, please take care of yourself.
