Cry In Memory of Montepollock ~ TNet Member

It's true what they say, only the good die young.

I just got off the phone with Monte's wife and was asked to post that Monte passed away of an unknown illness early Thursday morning. She is still waiting for information as to the exact cause. He was only 48 years old.

Monte was one of the first people that I met when I joined Treasurenet, and one of the kindest. He was very helpful with his advice on metal detecting and was often in the chat room helping new members with their questions. Monte was also a huge animal lover. Not only did he love the soft and cuddly kind, he even loved the spiders and bugs There aren't enough people like Monte in the world and his passing leaves a big empty place in it. Lets keep his wife Mary and his family in our thoughts and prayers. This is a huge shock to them.

For those of you in the Ft Scott Kansas area, services will be held at Konantz Cheney Funeral Home, Thursday Feb 9th at 7pm

We love ya Monte. Sorry you had to leave us so soon. You will be missed.

Although I didn't know Monte, I can tell he was a man with nothing but good intentions

I am what is known as a clown, or practical joker and Monte ran across one of my posts on June 6.

    http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.p...tml#msg2944592

As you can see, Monte actually showed concern for someone he didn't even know and wished me the best. Unfortunately Monte didn't know I was just trying to spread some humor.

I had also noticed several other of his posts over time and in each one, he has nothing but kind words for everyone.

You can be sure he is in a good place now..

    My prayers are with you
