Lost a good friend this week. DEAN ADAMS best metal detectorist and author of dozen of published articles. I first met him on a club hunt. Didn't know anyone. Bumping around with a White's Classic-II. very basic machine. While trying it out a senior club member said it would find treasure same as expensive ones. Think a found a penny or two. Dean congratulated me while handing me the digging tool I left on the field. I was still working but later he and Douglas Cohn another history buff invited me on road trips. They would put together a one day 350 mile R/T through rastern plains ghost towns. a real gentleman. I will see you next time friend....
