Not gold, but good as gold to me

Being an ex wood carver, became a prospector I was always attracted to wood. Bungee Bill,( RIP ) & I were working this wash in 1992, that the old timers had given a good go, which still produced enough to keep us interested.
High up at the start of this wash I found this Iron wood Sculptor cared by Mother nature, That I really admired, but was packing to much gear to salvage it. This winter I was up that wash & saw it still there after all these years, I have it proudly displayed in our home & it Bing's back some great mimmeries that I can enjoy Again

    Chuck,

Yep, your photo is at 217 kbs, and you should get it down under say 100 kbs.
I normally try for even a smaller file size. My various photo programs have a resizing feature, or a feature that allows you to reduce the file size. Yours should too.

No matter, try this instruction I copied here at TNet awhile back when I was trying to figure it out...at least it'll give you some idea of what to be looking for in your program.

"right click on the picture your gonna post, open with 'paint', at the top, click on 'Image', then click on 'Stretch/Skew', You'll see 'Horizontal' say's 100%, change it to 50% or whatever seems good. Do the same in the 'Veritcal' box below that, hit 'ok'. Click on
'File', then hit 'Save'...there ya go..you've resized your picture."

Time, oh good sweet time...where did you go?

Whatever it is, it is valuable. If nothing else for the lesson learned or simply the experience of having been there.
