CAVEAT EMPTOR--let the buyer beware. First RUN don't walk to the county recorders office to check on legality of claim. The BLM Lr2000/GeoCom is about 50% accurate BUT the county is at least 99% accurate. Nothing nowhere is ever filed ANYWHERE but the recorders office first. Then you hit the tax assessors office for the maps and records on them stinkn' usuary tax payments, time of filings(many many many) and then go play on the claim to check for all other issues . UHGODLY rotten lousy miserable murderous access is usually RIGHTEOUS as all others(newbies/wannabees/weekend warriors/hobbyists) don't have the time/effort/cash/ or testiculiar fortitude to go the extra 100 miles to reap the fantastic rewards. After 37+ years a sucking gravels I can attest to living off my dredge box and raising 4 kids and colleges and many x wives too-tons a au 2 u 2 -John
