    Troy X5 for Gold?

I picked up a Troy X5 for cheap at the pawn shop. Owner had pawned then never picked up. To bad for him, I supose. I bought it because I know I should be able to quadruple my money at least.

What I wonder is how are these machines for prospecting? Good honest opinion based on experience would be good. I figure it should do OK because it runs at 19kHz and has a ton of punch. Pretty darn deep.

I don't have any experience with it but according to the manual, you can prospect with it. http://www.troycustomdetectors.com/p.../x5manual.html
