WHO WAS THE MAN THAT.......

Who was the man that used a flat fender Willys jeep to drive around in the Southern California desert looking for nuggets? He had large coils attached to extensions on his bumper and he did find a couple large nuggets, plus smaller ones. I saw a TV show about him years ago and have been telling people about him since then, but I can't remember his name. I hope somebody here knows the guy I'm talking about and can tell me his name and anything else possible about him. I think he spent the better part of 25 years searching the desert for crystalline nuggets. He lost everything he had (family, friends, job) in his quest for large nuggets. He was ultimately successful in his search, but at an enormous personal cost to himself and to his wife and daughters.

His name was Terry, they called him T-Bone. Grubstake
