hi there,
i was prospecting last week end in an amazing beach containing various caves... looking for some hidden treasure, and found a lot of quartz blocks containing gold. iam using a fisher gold bug MD and was wondering how to reveal the gold? what are the easiest method?
i have read about using acid but it looks quiet dangerous
any ideas are welcome
thanks a lot

Actually old technology is the answer. A TR unit has the ability to tell you if metal or mineral as you can reverse it's polarity to search for either a iron object or gold/silver objects. At least then you'd know what the object has within.Acid etch or crush and leach are a hardrockers choices.John
