I was out looking for gold nuggets and was detecting along a stained quartz vein when an outcropping of this black rock gave off strong signal. I was swinging an MXT and the iron readout was showing 80-90%. But the VDI was around 0. Very strong signal, not like hot rock. The outcrop was about 30' sq. Anyone have a clue what this rock might be? There are tin and tungsten mines also in the area.
