I had an XTerra 70 Gold Pack for a long time. It works wonders for small gold. That is what it was designed to do with the DD 10x5 18.75khz Coil. To get deep gold, you need to get a dedicated gold machine.

Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!

Did all that research myself a while back, and chose the
Gold Bug Pro over the rest of the contenders. It's a
top notch picker-finder, and as good or better on
small gold than just about anything out there.

JMHO, of course..:occasion14:

The 705 is a fine gold detector. Get out there and swing it and you will find gold with it.
