Just one of Steve's many great articles which has improved my detecting prospecting for sure. I would also like to extend many thanks to Chris Ralph and Ray Mills for sharing their vast knowledge and experience as well. At the very least I owe these guys a fine dinner some day.

I just got my issue and read the article. Great story. I enjoyed the read and the visual of a gold hunting expedition in Alaska. In a picture of Steve, he is holding a mining pick. I looks so well used, it is missing the tip:) I'm curious how you can make the trip on a budget of Two ounces? I think we need another article..... How to take a two month gold prospecting trip on an 2 ounce budget.
