When I am at the lake detecting many cuties ask me what my best find is; I usually mention the diamond wedding ring.
Some guy asking and I tell them my bottle cap collection. A curios youngster and it was the gold coin.
This Nugget is absolutely the best to me and makes me feel good.

I have another bigger one but it has a larger percentage of Copper in it.

A young Artisan; Jennifer Damrow mad a special wire wrapped for my nugget. ?Wire-Wrapped Jewlery?Minerals?Fossils
I wanted a large enough bail to fit the honking Gold chain I found. She did a fantastic job and I loved the result.

I'm curious about your profile picture, have you ever been to Palouse Falls or did you just see a pretty picture and decided that was good?

I Detected another nugget this fall before the ducks went south. This one scaled in at 13.54 grams. Soaked it in muriatic acid over the week end to clean the blackened crust off; a little wire brushing then it shined right up. Xterra705 Gold coil. IMG_2105.jpg

There is many newspaper articles from 1800s in california of people cleaning their chickens and finding little nuggets in their gizzard or craw. Especially those living in gold country.
This one has killed a number of upland birds and almost every one had a stone or two in their gizzards. Did not look at the gizzards of a deer before.
Not sure what happened with this post as this one was replying to californiagold post. Please move if you like to the thread about nuggets found in birds.
