Good collection of rocks! I arrived in the dark last Sunday and camped right beside that tailings pile for one night. I went to a different mine in the AM to detect. You did way better than me. LOL

I will also be up in Oct. I am looking right now at the first week, but will keep an eye on the weather forecast.

When I was there in late Oct last year, I got snow at night which melted during the mornings. When it warmed up further in the afternoon, got a few black flies.

But the flies in Oct were nothing like I experienced this spring. My poor dog was eaten alive on belly and around the eyes earlier this year.
