Hi all,
We are using a MineLab 2100v2 for nugget hunting here in Montana. We are experiencing limited success with difficulties in not having any iron discrimination (thousands of square nails).
We have been referred to this a high quality device (below) by a friend. One of the ideas is to use the machine below collectively with our MineLab.

Have any of you used this item or know anything about it?

Here are our challenges that we are looking for in a long range detector.

- Effective iron discrimination in mountainous regions
- Locate from 300 yard.
- Locate down to a gram

This might be a tall order.
Let us know your thoughts,
Thanks,
Nathan Johnson

Casually reading the description of the Scanmaster I would say the "science" behind it is nonsense.

I would put the your current detector up for sale and consider buying a
GPX-4000 Metal Detector that rejects iron.

Thanks for the help!
We have considered the 4000, unfortunately it is out of our price range currently. That is why we have been looking at a long range device that has iron discrimination like the Scanmaster. Its seems to be a different animal. Do you know anyone whom has used one?
Thanks,
Nathan
