Big gold deposits are coming out of Africa, but it's a death wish to go there.

Its all the erosion there that makes them (easy) or in WA. Theres alot of nice gold all over there though. Still plenty where people dont even look anymore, or with anything other than a detector. The gems were everywhere aswell. What a great place to go prospecting. I spent most of a year there in SA around nuriootpa. Nice dwt /g pickers and heavy black stuff around watts diggins? Mt. Crawford area. The Emus at Crawford stalk you around and detecting i always had an uneasy feeling with a headset on. Definitely worth going...

Yeah but huge nuggets like this are amazing. Why is this only happening in Australia, what about other deserts?

If you've watched all of the seasons, and all of the episodes, you'll notice it's getting harder and harder to find the nuggets, and that's probably why most of them rely on heavy equipment to scrape areas for detecting.

Still lots of nice nuggets to be found in North America, but lots of people don't advertise their finds as loudly as a TV series does, just saying . . .

All the best,

Lanny
