Hi folks,
Not an experienced metal detector as mainly we do digging and gold panning but I thought I would try the new Garret Pro pointer AT and found it did not pick up a cubic cm of gold flakes in a plastic vial of water, is that normal? I could get a slight beep if touching the tube but that was it.
My metal detector also does not pick up gold flakes in a tube.
Can these be used to look for flakes around 8mm or is that asking too much?

More designed to locate solid pieces of gold in my experience, and it does a good job on those.

All the best,
