A friend of my son just found this N. California today more info when I get it . So this photo was sent to my phone by accident so I don't have permission but I think it was north of 500 grams

So, right around 16 ounces. That's one sweet chunk of gold. It will sell at a good premium I hope.

As for the 3.5 ounce chunk, I've never got my coil over a hefty piece like that. Most of our larger pieces we get detecting come in around the 5-7 gram range, although I have seen one and two ounce nuggets come out of the wash-plant. So, congratulations on your 3.5 ounce beauty OneGuy, amazing find.
