Visual exam reveals what appears to be sample from a vein of altered serpentine or olivine, or even a schist. And when it was formed the silification of it, is what drew the metallics into the iron sulfides, where the platinum values are tied up.

Regional area pyrrhotite is the only non crystalline iron sulfide mineral that MIGHT contain Pt or any of the PGM's as it often contains small amounts of Cu and Ni.

Whitish, crumbly sparkly hosting silicated host with metallic pyrite looking metallics liberally sprinkled all the way through.
