Gold in Utah!!!

I have heard that there is gold in the Beaver dam wash in southwest Utah. I would like to try to pan that area but i am not sure if there are any claims or anything that would get me in trouble. Any info would be appreciated!

the best course of action would be to contact the local authority
they can tell u all u need to know thats what i do

rustycoinUT, according to my book there is a fair amount of gold around the Lake Powell area, east of Cove Fort, east of Beaver Lake (dry). Hope this helps.
