Hello fellow State of Georgia diggers; Please use caution when digging on lawns as we are indeed into a DROUGHT! I met with several diggers from around the state in the last few days, and the ground condition reports sound bad. I have refrained from lawn digging for over 2 weeks, and believe unless we get a tremendous amount of rain in the next few weeks that it will be a very dry summer. The last grass I dug in was powder below the 1/2 inch line. Plugging grass right now will kill it, we still have woodlands, beaches, dry streambeds, etc. Please refrain from damaging lawns, metal detecting on public property in Dekalb County was instituted several years ago because of this. Thank You!!
