Question about settings?

I have a question about settings on my QuickDraw II. I just did a test and in the all metal mode I get the following
Dime = 1c to 1$
Quarter = 25c
Penny = zinc 1c
14k gold ring = 5c / iron/foil
14k Platinum ring = pulltab iron/foil
14k gold neclace = no beep at all!

What do you think the problem is? I've tried many different settings.

Dan, you have it set correctly,those are what your detector will register,if you read the post on this forum you will always find post referring to pulltabs and screw caps that is what gold will show as.

Weldermark is right. I never get a dime to range up tp $1 but I mostly only hunt in Coin/Jewelry mode. Does yours have a mode like that? If so you may get a slight or irratic tone on your gold necklace then. Happy Hunting. Dan

I went to the lake today and found lots of beer cans, 1970 vintage. I also found 2 washers and a bass lure. I did find lots of rocks that set my detector off. Must be some kind of iron in them. I'll keep trying
