I bought mine used on eBay and in near perfect condition and I think I paid $165 plus shipping. Love it.

Thanks for all the replies. Going to check out the detector today. Barring any obvious damage to it (he said he'd show me the basics and let me test it out there), I'll be out detecting this afternoon...

The little yeller feller is a fun little machine to use for coin shooting in a park.

I just think you would be better off with a Tesoro Silver uMax.
Just as lite, better sensitivity, and far superior response and recovery time.

If you are able to try the two side by side you would immediately see that difference.
