Help? on Small Coil Decision?? 4"x8" oval or 5 inch round???

OK Newbie here. I know I will be wanting a small coil since I will be in some thick smaller trees in some heavy wooded areas with quite a few OLD trashy dump sites. I have a minelab and they offer 4"x8" oval or 5 inch round??? I understand the oval is about 50 bucks more and has a good rep. I also believe it detects deeper?
So right now I am leaning on the oval!
All comments welcomed! :dontknow:
thanks

If you have the extra bucks, I'd go with the oval. You should get more coverage with each sweep, and still retain the see through capability of a small round coil.

Haven't used an oval, but have a 5" on my Quattro. I love it, best thing I ever added to my machine.
Good Luck,
Mark
