Re: Won't be long now

That's my hunting partner.
We've been hunting together for about 8 years now. Every time I get out my machine and practice swinging it around he gets excited and runs for the door.
I know how he feels.

Don't know about your area, but we've got 32" here. As soon the snows melts, I'm heading out. The ground won't be frozen under all that snow.

Re: Won't be long now

even as the snow melts the ground is still frozen. As I found out yesterday. The snow is snow is gone in a lot of places so I went out. I could not even get my trowel in the ground. So my targets is still waiting for me to come back and dig them up. Maybe another week of warm weather...Matt

Re: Won't be long now

If the weather stays in the 50's during the day and doesnt dip too far below freezing at night...and...

If the ground thaws enough.......and...

If I can manage to avoid working over the weekend.....and....

If it doesn't rain or snow like they say it's suppose to.......or....

If I can manage to finish a day of work without being covered in grime from head to toe......or

If I can detect.........there's this torn up playground with piles of dirt that used to be a ballfield back in the early 1900's right down the street from me... under construction and very detectable looking.......I'd love to hit and cherry pick for a couple hours.....gotta be some good stuff kicked up with all the digging.....

Still too many If's this time of year to get my hopes up yet......well not very high anyhow....but some.
