8" or 10" coi whats the difference?

Ive decided on an excal 2 but which coil to get??? Is there much difference weight wise? How about using one underwater is there more drag on the larger coil? I believe the 10" should give more depth is that correct? If so how much difference can 2 inches really make?
thanks

personally in the water i would go with the 10", more coverage and a little more depth, wave action buries items

I've had both and I like the 10". You won't notice the difference in the water and you'll cover more area with the 10"
