Both companies make excellent machines. I'd go with the Deleon myself but I must admit I've had no experience with it or the 5900.

My next gig will be the Tesoro Tejon. I've been watching the tests a little and have read that the Tejon often beats even the Minelab Explorer in depth.

I don't know why, but for some reason I've never owned a Tesoro. I had one on order once but the online distributor was dumped by Tersoro before I received my unit. I got a refund and ended up buying a Minelab Excalibur instead.

I've never found a displeased Tesoro owner. In fact, they tend to be very loyal to that brand.

I got a chance to meet and talk with the owner of Tesoro at a show this past weekend. If his detectors are as good as the presentation I can see why he would generate a loyal following. When I decide to upgrade I am leaning there way already.
