What you have is an "industrial" all-metal no motion detector primarily designed to find underground pipes and cables. As opposed to a "hobby" detector which is designed around finding coin sized objects. I'd say the M-65 would probably make a good relic machine, but in trashy areas it will have you digging all day.

Never seen one, but I'm guessing it's well made and simple to use.

Thanks Charlie. There's virtually no information online, so that helps a lot. We'll see if it ever is useful ... but it doesn't sound very promising.
